Trial for Kevin O’Connor

We have recently learned that the trial for Kevin O’Conner scheduled for January 6, 2020, has been postponed due to a stated conflict of interest within the Virginia Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. O’Connor will be tried for six counts of child abuse and molestation. As soon as we know the new date of trial, we will post it. Thank you for your continued interest in this case, we are praying for justice for the victim(s) of Kevin O’Connor.

Kevin O’Connor Trial Update

The criminal trial for Kevin O’Connor, scheduled for April 29, 2019, has been rescheduled for January 6, 2020. O’Connor, former deacon at Calvary Temple in Sterling VA and still a member of the church, was indicted Aug. 13, 2018 on seven sexual assault-related charges. These charges were two counts of aggravated sexual battery by force, threat or intimidation on a victim 13 or 14 years old and one count of forcible sodomy.

Spring 2019: Warning to Sterling, VA and the Surrounding Communities About Calvary Temple

I am using last year’s warning, but I am adding an update – Since this warning was issued in 2018, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has arrested and arraigned Calvary Temple member and former deacon Kevin O’Conner, who will stand trial at the end of this month for six counts of sexual abuse with a minor.

I do not want this to happen to your child or to your children. I do not want your family destroyed. Please, please, please – stay FAR AWAY from Calvary Temple:

For over ten years now, my fellow standers and I have been warning anyone and everyone about Calvary Temple. Four years ago was our first active protest. We protested their “free” Kids Easter event. We protested their car shows. We protested their “free” sports and cheer camps that summer. Each Sunday we stood across the street and protested for a year.

While we are no longer physically standing out in all weather holding signs, we continue to warn. We continue to speak out. We continue to hope and pray that no unsuspecting person will venture into that place thinking that it is a safe haven for families. It is not.

Please, as the below warning states – do a simple Google search. Read the countless articles, personal accounts and testimonies, news articles.

I woke up [again] this morning thinking, “How are thousands of people wrong?”

We aren’t.

Remember, “free” is never really free. If you choose to enter onto the grounds of Calvary Temple, there is a price to pay.

“Calvary Temple in Sterling, VA is a dangerous place for families. Please stay away. It is currently under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office for allegations of child sexual abuse. Just do a Google search and please warn others. Numerous families have suffered by attending this place.”

Calvary Temple Man Arrested

News broke on August 16, 2018 of the arrest and incarceration of Kevin O’Connor, formerly a deacon, and currently a member, of Calvary Temple in Sterling, VA. O’Connor has been indicted on 7 counts of sexual assault on a minor. Though many in leadership and amongst the congregation knew of his sexual assaults on the child, the LCSO did not bring charges for 15 years. Many questions remain as to why this case was not pursued but for now, Kevin O’Connor sits in the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center with no bond.

The Calvary Temple Cult located in Sterling, VA, puts on four “free” sports and cheer camps each year over a two-week period. They tout themselves as “Christian” yet their leader, Star Robert Scott and other members are currently under an active three-plus year investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office for allegations of CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE.

As recently as Monday, June 25, 2018, yet another comprehensive article was posted online by The Washington Post, further exposing and outlining the severe abuse and destruction to people, to children, and to families carried out, ordered or committed by Bob Scott, and far too many others in this place.

We’ve been speaking out hoping to make the Washington DC Metro area, particularly the Sterling/Ashburn communities, aware of Calvary Temple. A simple Google search yields so much information regarding CT leadership and members’ destruction and abuse of entire family units.

Please, please, please do not attend these camps. While “free”, the cost to you and your children is astronomical. Please keep your family safe.
